Team Placement sessions are held to allow coaches to get to know athletes, and to be sure that all athletes are placed in the team that is the best fit for them!

Cheer Team Placements will give athletes opportunity to show off any stunt and tumble skills, and will also involve chant and motions. MONCAD has teams of all levels, and so athletes with no experience should still attend - we recommend beginners simply bring their enthusiasm and just give it a go!

Dance Team Placements are held just like any regular open class! They will involve a warm up, some progressions to demonstrate and practise skills such as turns, kicks and jumps, and will end with a short routine performed in groups.

Team Placement sessions are $10 each.

Please bring the following:

• Smartphone/device to sign the 2021 Waiver and complete COVID Check In

• Student ID card for Monash University's COVID Check Ins

• Your mask! Under current restrictions, masks are to be worn indoors.

• Water bottle

• Suitable shoes

  • runners/cheer shoes for cheer and hip-hop

  • jazz shoes, turners or other suitable dance shoes for pom, jazz and lyrical

• Sweat towel

• Wear comfortable and suitable exercise attire! No club merch (Allstar or Uni) is to be worn during Placements).

If you are under 18 at the session date, ensure that a parent/guardian has filled out the waiver for you (found here), prior to the Team Placement.
